Meet Melani, a Black Panther with an incredible presence that inspired me throughout the creative process. She’s sometimes called a Melanistic Jaguar or Leopard, but for me, her dark elegance is what truly sets her apart.
 
I created her almost entirely with charcoal because it felt like the perfect way to reflect her mysterious, shadowy beauty. Just a touch of graphite in the background helps balance the composition. Over four weeks and more than 100 hours, I worked layer by layer to bring out as much depth and detail as possible, aiming to capture the essence of her wild nature.
 
These Giclée prints are made on archival Hahnemühle Museum Etching 310gsm paper, a high-quality material chosen to reflect the care and effort put into the original piece.
 
Each framed print comes float mounted in either a black or white box frame. I've added a side by side photo of the spotted jaguar for contex.
